Real winters are more and more rare, more and more ephemeral, more and more shy. Especially here, in the Alsace lowlands where positive winter temperatures play the supremacy since a few decades already. However, the white snowflakes still fall from high, always. But in their fall, forced to cross the isothermal line, they melt and are completing their journey towards the lowlands in simple and fine rain droplets.
In order to enjoy these silent atmospheres and this decor of immaculate whiteness, typical atmospheres in winters with generous and persistent snow, we need to go high up to the heights of our Vosges Mountains. It is up there that still exists this natural magic which once permeated our childhoods and which is still dragging in our sweetest memories today.
